Capital investment for a project is the total cost of all the plant(s), machinery, land and the building(s).

In case the land and/or the building(s) are not owned by the proponent, the annual rental cost is to be added with the cost of plant(s) and machinery to arrive at the figure of total capital investment.

In case nothing is available in regard to the cost and/or rental of the land and/or the building(s), the cost of plant(s) and machinery is to be multiplied by a factor of 1.67 to arrive at the figure of total capital investment.
